How Jack of Wands collects your information
When you purchase a service from Jack of Wands, your full name and email address are collected alongside the booking information to provide your chosen service to you. Your date of birth may also be collected at this stage, or at any other throughout the service transaction, but is optional to provide.
Sensitive personal data including, but not limited to, private life data, health and medical data, and personal characteristics may be discussed or divulged during service provision but are never recorded or stored.
How Jack of Wands uses your information
Your full name and email address are used by Jack of Wands to provide chosen services to you. This information is also used to communicate with you about your purchase, schedule appointments, provide essential service notifications, and, in the case of marketing opt-in, advertise services and offers.
Your date of birth, if provided, is also used by Jack of Wands to enhance your experience with astrological insights and, in the case of marketing opt-in, birthday promotions.
Essential service notifications
When you purchase a service from Jack of Wands, you will receive essential notifications pertaining to this service. These include emails for confirmation, invoicing, scheduling, and follow-up messages. As these communications are essential to the service you have purchased, you cannot opt out of them.
Marketing communications
When you purchase a service from Jack of Wands, you will have the option to opt in to marketing communications. If you opt in, I will use your information to advertise updates, services and upcoming offers relevant to your existing purchase(s). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the opt-out link within the email, or by emailing jack@jackofwands.co.uk.
Data sharing
Information pertaining to your booking, your full name, and your email address may be shared with the following third party organisations to support the provision of services:
- Zoom hosts online consultations and readings
- Microsoft 365 and IONOS-hosted Microsoft Exchange for secure data storage and secure email provision
Data storage and retention
Data is stored securely on encrypted cloud servers. Personal data related to transactions (invoices/names) is retained for 6 years to comply with UK HMRC tax requirements. General enquiry data is deleted after 12 months if no service is purchased.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. You also have the right to restrict or object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact jack@jackofwands.co.uk. Any GDPR-related requests will be actioned within one calendar month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
AI tools
Jack of Wands does not use AI tools to generate readings, interpret cards, or draft client communications. Your personal information is never fed into AI tools or Large Language Models (LLMs).
